There is no doubt that a person who takes any kind of action at all is going to be more successful than a person who does absolutely nothing, but just because you are taking a lot of action does not mean it is going to lead to the success you are after. If you want success, you have to combine the fact your taking action and gear it towards productive tasks.

If you concentrate on doing things that are productive and you put those things into action, you are now doing what 95% of all people will never do. Having a plan is the biggest secret to success that almost nobody really talks about. Yes, you hear all the time how you have to have plan and act on that plan, but nobody really ever shows you how to map it out and create that plan.

Setting goals is an absolute must if you want to get anywhere, but setting goals that you can work towards will make you much more successful than just setting goals that are broad. If you focus on just a few major goals, you can actually do yourself more harm than good as far as reaching them. While it's good to set lofty goals,
you have to have a plan in place that will allow you to achieve them in a step by step fashion.

Not only do you want to have business goals, you also want to have some personal goals as well. Isn't that why anyone who wants to work from home starts out doing it anyway? We want to be able to have more time with our families, we want to be able to spend more time doing the things that we want to do and we really want to tell our jobs good bye. But most people focus only on the business goals they set, if they even set them, instead of really at what they want their business to provide to them. Having the ability to create a plan of action can really explode your business fast!
